Lοιπόν με λίγα γράμματα... είναι το δεύτερο άλπουμ /project απο την Merill Garbus ,ουσιαστικά ''κάτι παράξενο'' . Eκεί που νομίζεις πως κάτι funk θα αρχίσει ,κάποιοι ήχοι βγαλμένοι σαν απο ζουλού ....χτυπούν το μυαλό σου με πιεστικό ρυθμό ενώ το funk είναι ακόμη εκεί . ΤΑ DRUM LOOPS δίνουν και παίρνουν μαζί με κάτι jazzo σαξοφωνα και πολύ τρελο (και το εννοώ) πειραματισμό με το μπάσσο ! Ενα πράγμα που βαδίζει κάπου σε bjork και cocorosie .αλλα σε συνεργασία με τον james brown...και τον αρχηγό του αμπουχαλίλι (μιας φιλής των ζουλού....)!
..το στύλ είναι αρκετά lo-fi(κάτι δηλαδή σαν μια παράξενη και λίγο πιο κακή και vintage ηχογάφηση )Aκούστε τα My country , Powa , GANGSTA .
Aστικό ύψος / αφρικάνικο ταπεραμέντο /πειραματικό όσο δεν παει.

φυσικά η προυπόθεση για να τα δεχτείς όλα αυτα είναι να μπορείς να δέχεσαι και να ακούς καινούργια πράγματα...οπότε καθόλου παράξενο το γεγονός να μην σου αρεσει με την πρώτη....

Ιn few words ,the second alboum / project by merill garbus , basically ''something strange'' .when you are about to believe that a funk ''rocket'' is about to hit you , suddenly sound like zulu screams break into your brain with a pressive rhythm but still you hear the funk thing. Drum loops go up and down combined with saxo-jazz noise and the experimental thing begins suddenly without warning into bass.Feels like bjork and cocorosie but in cooperation with james brown in the same time with the master of abuxali zulu tribe....!!The music style in about LO-FI identity (something like an old , grungie recording came out with hands) . Listen to ''Gangsta'' ,''my country'' and ''powa''
urban style/in afrikan temperament/exrerimental to hell /
why is it good. ? it is....
ORIGINAL/WEIRD/NOT USUAL/EXPERIMENTAL/ELECTRIC BUT TRADITIONAL...TOO/
Of course the presupposition for you to accept all this is to be able to accept and listen to new sounds , thats why it is not very strange that you will hear it more than once until you decide whether you like it or not .
